Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Disciples are sent to prepare the Passover by finding a room, signaling obedience and readiness for a sacred meal. The passage points to an inner discipline of mind, preparing to host divine presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold the scene as a mirror of your own consciousness. The 'two disciples' going forth to a city and following a sign is not about geography; it is the movement of your attention into a receptive posture. The water-bearer represents your willingness to receive guidance in clarity; the 'guest-chamber' is the inner room of your I AM, the still, silent space where presence is welcomed. When the Master says 'where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples' this is the invitation of the I AM within you to host a sacred feast of awareness. The 'large upper room furnished and prepared' is the state of mind that has been cleaned of the leaven of doubt and is ready to hold your most intimate communion with God. The final line, 'they made ready the Passover,' shows that reality is created from within by your faithful imagining. So the Passover happens in the inner chamber when you align your thoughts, feelings, and identity with the I AM, and permit the divine presence to reign here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the inner guest room is already furnished. Dwell in the feeling of the Master present, and declare the I AM ready to host the Passover within.
