Awakening the Living God Within
Mark 12:24-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus corrects them, saying they err because they do not know the Scriptures or the power of God; the dead will rise and become like angels; God is the God of the living, not the dead.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beholding the passage through the eye of I AM, you see that the 'God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob' is not a past-tense deity but the living presence within you. The questioners speak of life after death as if it were a distant event in time; Jesus answers that resurrection is not a future drama but a shift in consciousness. To rise is to reorganize your identifications: you are no longer bound to the story of form or to the 'dead' beliefs about limitation. The power of God is not a force far away; it is the living activity of your awareness. When you know the scriptures, you know the living I AM, the God who speaks as you. In that awareness, you are as the angels in heaven—free from the marriage of lesser identities; you are alive in the present, not waiting for an afterlife. The key is to realize, now, that you are the living God within, and every thought that aligns with life is your resurrection.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, place your hand on your chest, and affirm, I AM the God of the living now; feel the rise of consciousness as real. Rehearse a belief you held as dead by revising it into a present, living truth and breathing that truth into your awareness.
