Marvel of Inner Providence
Mark 12:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
This verse affirms that what has happened is the Lord's doing, and it is seen as wondrous. It invites trust in divine providence operating beyond ordinary sight.
Neville's Inner Vision
To my ear, this line from Mark is a whisper to your inner ear: the Lord's doing is not a distant decree but the movement of your I AM within. The event you call outer is a mirror of your inner state, a marvellous manifestation when you awaken to the truth that God is consciousness and you are that awareness. When you align the focus of your mind with the assumption that the I AM governs all you see, you begin to notice that what seems to be happening outside is only the shadow of your inward agreement. Providence does not arrive from without; it rises from within, as your steadfast trust and the feeling that what is desired is already finished in mind. The 'rejected stone' becomes the cornerstone of your experience as you accept that the Lord's doing is your own inner conviction made visible. Practice seeing events as Providence in action, not as chance, and you will find that wonder becomes ordinary, and the path to worship is the persistent alignment of your thought with the divine I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, say 'This is the Lord's doing' and feel the I AM as the steady ground of your awareness; revise any sense of lack by affirming the outcome is already established in mind.
