Inner Cleansing, Inner Testimony

Mark 1:43-44 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 1 in context

Scripture Focus

43And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;
44And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Mark 1:43-44

Biblical Context

Jesus heals a man with leprosy, then commands him to speak to no one and to present himself to the priest to offer cleansing as Moses commanded, serving as a testimony to them.

Neville's Inner Vision

All scripture is a map of inner life. The healing of the leper is the moment when a separated part of consciousness awakens to its oneness. The stern command to tell no one points to the necessity of inner certainty before broadcast; the inner sight must be established before outward signs appear. The directive to go to the priest and offer the cleansing, Moses’ law, becomes a symbolic enactment: the inner I AM stands as priest, cleansing is the renewal of self-image, and the testimony to them is the visible proof in daily life. When you assume the feeling of complete cleanliness, you are not pretending; you are returning to your true nature, and the world will reflect that inner state, bringing healing, order, and faithful response to life.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already cleansed; for five minutes close your eyes and feel the I AM washing away limitation. Then quietly acknowledge the inner priest within you and act from that assumption, letting the outer world follow the new inner state.
