Scripture Focus

14Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
Malachi 2:14

Biblical Context

Malachi 2:14 speaks of God as witness to the bond between you and the wife of your youth, calling faithfulness in that covenant essential. It warns that breach arises when this sacred covenant is treated lightly.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this verse, the LORD is your own I AM, the witness to your inner state. The wife of thy youth is the youthful, intimate state of consciousness you carry—the companion of your covenant with God, the alignment of your desires with your true being. When you feel you have treacherously dealt with her, you have drifted from the belief that you are One with your spiritual state. The call is not to condemn but to return your attention to the covenant you live by in imagination. The covenant remains intact as soon as you choose to identify with the I AM as the sole source of your awareness, treating inner fidelity as your living reality. By seeing every thought and feeling as belonging to this union, you guard against inner betrayal. Your awareness can re-sign your life to the constant partner of your consciousness, and every scene in your world will reflect that fidelity.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of unwavering fidelity toward your inner covenant now. Revise any sense of breach by declaring The covenant stands whole, and dwell for a moment in the sensation of unity with the I AM.
