Inner Covenant Purification

Malachi 2:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Malachi 2 in context

Scripture Focus

12The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
Malachi 2:12

Biblical Context

The LORD will cut off the man who does this—whether he is the master, the scholar, or one who offers an offering—from the tabernacles of Jacob.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this verse, the cutting is not punishment from an external God, but a shattering of false identifications in your own consciousness. 'The master and the scholar' are the stubborn beliefs of superiority and cleverness that separate you from the I AM within. When you cling to status or ritual—'my studies, my offerings'—you live as if you are apart from God, and you are 'cut off' from the tabernacle of your true self. The Lord of hosts speaks as your own I AM, calling you to turn from external observance toward inner alignment. The removal of these false personas clears the way for the living temple to be seen as your present state. The moment you cease defining yourself by titles or rituals and re-identify with the I AM, the separation dissolves; you are no longer cut off but restored to unity. The verse invites you to revise these inner positions by feeling the reality of your wholeness here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the consciousness of the I AM as the inner master and scholar living in harmony with God. Then revise the belief that you are cut off by affirming, 'I am the offering, and I am wholly one with the Lord now.' Feel it real.
