Inner Resurrection Through Faith
Luke 8:49-56 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Luke 8 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus tells the ruler not to fear but to believe. He enters the house, takes the maiden by the hand, and she rises.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a map of your inner state. The word dead is a belief of absence you have accepted as real. Fear not: believe only is the command to switch your attention from the outer story to the I AM that refuses to admit death. The house is your inner chamber where mourning is released; when the crowd is put out, you release old reactions that keep you from feeling life. Then you take the maiden by the hand and say, Maid, arise — and the life you are awakens inside you. Her spirit comes again; your consciousness is nourished and you are astonished at what you allowed to awaken. Do not tell the world about it yet, for this is between you and the Life that never left you. Your astonishment is the awakening of faith that life is now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the healed state as already present. Whisper Maid, arise to your inner consciousness and feel gratitude as life returns.
