Inner Light Manifesto
Luke 8:16-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Luke 8 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Luke 8:16-18 speaks of a light set on a lampstand so all who enter may see it. It adds that nothing hidden will remain secret, and how you hear determines how much is given or taken away.
Neville's Inner Vision
By Luke's image, the candle points to your I AM, the conscious awareness that lights every scene of your life. When I light a candle in imagination, I am not entertaining spectacle but acknowledging that my inner state radiates outward. The law is simple: nothing remains secret in the inner world that is not revealed to the outer life through growing awareness. Your life brightens as you hold the light with confident belief, not by pleading for it but by assuming its presence. The phrase take heed how ye hear acts as a reminder that perception creates reality; to the one who possesses the feeling of the light, more light is given. To the one who believes they have little, the sense of lack swallows what is left, because belief is magnetic. Therefore I claim the truth of my own light here and now, and I allow it to reveal itself in every encounter and decision. In this sacred attention, the hidden becomes manifest, and the ordinary becomes luminous.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are the candle on a candlestick of your mind, and affirm I AM the light that shines in every room. Feel the sensation of your awareness widening as you choose to hear and see truth within.
