Faith Beyond Distance Within

Luke 7:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 7 in context

Scripture Focus

9When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
Luke 7:9-10

Biblical Context

Jesus marvels at the centurion's extraordinary faith and notes its rarity even among Israel. When the messengers return home, they find the servant restored from sickness, showing healing occurring from afar.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the centurion not as a man of distance, but as a state of consciousness—the I AM that issues an order and is obeyed. Jesus’ astonishment marks the moment your inner certainty wakes: the power that speaks heals, even when there is no visible contact. Distance dissolves in the awareness that there is no separation between desire and fulfillment in the mind that rules. The envoy's report is your self-communication to the inner governor: you declare, 'I am the healing power now,' and the inner servant (your bodily condition) responds in kind. The miracle here is psychological: the healing occurs because your inner state has shifted, not because of a distant act. Israel's lack of such faith shows that external lineage has no authority—only the I AM within, always ready to affirm wellness. Luke invites you to stop seeking healing in outer signs and to awaken the inner sight that sees already finished what you now choose to claim.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the inner master state. Say, 'I am the healing power now,' and feel the fullness of wellness as already accomplished.
