Biblical Context
Jesus honors the centurion's faith, recognizing that a spoken word suffices for healing. The scene invites us to see our own will aligned with divine order, producing healing as an outward sign of inner trust.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Luke passage, the centurion does not crave a grand visitation; he knows authority travels by inner alignment. He is aware that the I AM within you and me already governs every order. His humility is not weakness but a precise operating instruction to the mind: I am under no illusion of independence; I recognize the one power I call Word is enough. Jesus acquiesces, marveling that such trust is found not in form but in recognition of consciousness. When you observe your life as a realm of states, you see healing not coming to you from outside, but arising from an inner decree that matches the truth of God’s order. The servant and the body respond as an echo responds to a voice that has authority. The healing occurs because the inner state is one of obedience to the divine idea—the I AM—acting upon itself as seen in the world. The miracle is the shift of belief from hopeful longing to the certainty of completion the moment you accept the authoritative word of your own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and declare I am under the authority of the I AM. Say Be healed to the condition, and feel the wholeness as already real.
