Biblical Context
Luke 7:41-42 presents a creditor forgiving two debtors; the parable asks which will love him more, illustrating that forgiveness expands the heart in proportion to the debt one believes has been erased.
Neville's Inner Vision
Two debtors stand before the inner creditor, and the bigger the debt, the louder the gratitude when it is wiped away. The creditor is not a man but the I AM within you—awareness that forgives because it is the very nature of being. The five hundred pence mind is a consciousness loaded with guilt and lack; the fifty pence mind is lighter, reflecting a calmer sense of self. Yet the forgiveness poured forth by the inner I AM is identical; only your awareness makes the debt seem different. If you dwell in guilt, your love for the giver remains guarded; if you rest in forgiveness that is already yours, love wells up with undeniable fullness. The law is simple: gratitude follows the felt release. Imagination creates reality; to love most, acknowledge you have been forgiven the whole of your past by the I AM. Stand in that forgiveness now, and your love becomes the measure of your realized divinity.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and name a debt you think you owe. Then declare, I AM the forgiveness that cancels this now; feel gratitude and love flooding your heart as if the debt never existed.
