Biblical Context
Luke 6:39-42 presents a warning: true guidance begins with self-examination; remove the beam in your own eye before you try to remove a mote in another, for discernment grows from inner awakening rather than judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
I read the parable as a map of consciousness. The blind leading the blind is not a geographical fate but a state of forgetfulness; when I am identified with judgment, I become blind to my own perfection and fall into the ditch of separation. The master is the awareness I AM here and now; to be perfect is to align with that master, so my sight is turned from fault-finding to a luminous clarity that serves. When I notice the mote in another, I am reminded to audit the beam within myself, not to condemn but to awaken. The beam and the mote are beliefs I have accepted about myself and others; removing the beam means revising those beliefs until my vision is clear enough to help others without pride. Dwelling in the assumption of wholeness, I discover that discernment arises not from criticising others but from the steady inner alignment with I AM. In this light, every difference becomes an invitation to my own awakening and to a love that heals rather than judges.
Practice This Now
Assume the state that I am the Master whose eye is clear; feel the beam vanish and replace judgment with compassionate seeing.
