Inner Wealth, Outer Woes

Luke 6:24-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 6 in context

Scripture Focus

24But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
26Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
Luke 6:24-26

Biblical Context

The passage warns that relying on wealth, fullness, or public approval leads to hollow consolation. True contentment comes from an inner orientation, not external signs.

Neville's Inner Vision

Luke 6:24-26 speaks in the language of penalty to the outer props of security: riches, fullness, and popular regard. Yet the inner law is universal: you become what you identify with. When you equate your value with wealth or with the praise of men, you have already received your consolation - inside your imagination you settle into a world of seeming sufficiency. The moment you hunger for external signs, you will experience a future of hunger, and what you now laugh at will turn to mourning, for the self you worship in others' words cannot endure. The true you is the I AM, the quiet, ever-present awareness that impresses form upon your life. To reinterpret this, stand in the assumption that you are already abundantly supplied and worthy, independent of outward opinion. Feel it real in your chest, and let your imagination maintain that state, not as a mere hope but as a present fact. As you practice this revision, the outer will reflect your inner wealth, and praise will become a natural echo of an unshakable inner riches.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and imagine I AM as the source of all you need. Revise your day by affirming 'I am abundantly provided, and I need nothing external to feel complete,' and feel it real.
