Healing Presence on the Plain
Luke 6:17-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus comes down to the plain with his disciples, and a great multitude from Judaea, Jerusalem, and beyond comes to hear him and be healed. Those vexed by unclean spirits are healed, and the whole multitude seeks to touch him, for healing virtue flows out and heals them all.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the plain is a state of consciousness, not a geographical stage. The crowd and their diseases are inner movements—longing, fear, pain—until you acknowledge the I AM as your true self. When you align with the I AM, the 'virtue' that flows from the man of compassion becomes the living energy of your life. Healing is not a miracle performed by another; it is the natural movement of consciousness when you dwell in the certainty of your unity with God. The unclean spirits symbolize restless beliefs; as you keep the light of self-awareness steady, these beliefs dissolve and healing appears. The multitude pressing to touch him mirrors your own attention; to touch is to acknowledge and invite the divine touch into every part of you. In Neville's terms, you must assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: see yourself already whole and let the inner current revise every symptom into peace. The scene invites you to practice inner touch: attend to I AM, feel the healing current, and allow your inner sight to translate into outer restoration.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, enter your inner plain, and place a hand on your chest. Say, 'I am whole now,' and feel the healing current moving through every part of you.
