Abundance and the Inner Call

Luke 5:9-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 5 in context

Scripture Focus

9For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
Luke 5:9-11

Biblical Context

Simon and his partners are astonished by the huge catch; Jesus tells Simon not to fear and that from now on he shall catch men. They leave their boats and follow him.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the draught as the accumulation of inner states—belief, feeling, and the insistence that I AM is the ground of all being. Astonishment arises when the old fear dissolves into a brighter reality. 'Fear not' is the invitation of your higher self; it asks you to drop the merely practical fishing for status and begin fishing for awareness—to catch men by awakening them to their own I AM. Their leaving the boats signals the surrender of the old identity to a new vocation: following the inner call, aligning with the state wherein you serve truth. The miracle proves what you already know in the inner theatre: your world is a reflection of your consciousness. The more you dwell in the I AM, the more others are drawn toward that awakening. So the event is not history but a picture of your present inner practice: revise fear, assume the state, and feel it real.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare the state 'I am the I AM; I fish for souls,' and feel it real. Visualize a net gathering those who are ready to awaken to their true identity, and allow yourself to follow the inner call into service.
