New Wine, New Bottles Within
Luke 5:36-39 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus teaches that you cannot receive new spiritual truth into an unchanged old state; renewal requires a new inner container to hold the new reality.
Neville's Inner Vision
All parables in the Gospel are not about outward events, but about your inner state. The garment and the bottles symbolize the two kinds of vision you carry: the old, worn self clinging to familiar beliefs, and the new consciousness willing to be born. The ‘new wine’ is living awareness, grace, and possibility now fermenting within you. If you insist on using current thought patterns as the container, the new wine will burst the old vessel and you will spill the invention of your own renewal. The instruction is not to patch the old with the new, but to discover a new bottle — a renewal of your imagined sense of self. When you live from the I AM—the awareness that you are, not what you were—the new wine remains preserved and fruitful. The external “change” follows the inner change; you are asked to tilt your attention from scarcity to abundance, from limitation to the living covenant of your being.
Practice This Now
In the next 5 minutes, close your eyes and imagine you are a new bottle being filled with the wine of awareness. Then affirm, I AM renewed; I now hold the living, new state as my present reality.
