Inner Cleansing Miracle

Luke 5:12-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 5 in context

Scripture Focus

12And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
Luke 5:12-16

Biblical Context

Jesus heals a man full of leprosy by touching him and declares him clean. He then tells the man to go show himself to the priest, and afterwards withdraws to pray as crowds gather for more healings.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the leper as a state of consciousness called fear, separation, or unclean belief. Jesus is the I AM within you, the touch of awareness that says yes I WILL be clean to the mind that believes in lack. When the Master speaks I WILL: be thou clean, notice that the healing occurs instantly in the field of awareness; the leprosy departs not by ritual but by recognition. The command to go to the priest is not a legal instruction but a signal to externalize the inner purification; showing thyself to the priest and offering a cleansing, as Moses commanded, is the inner vow at the level of form that your state has entered the world of appearance. The growing fame of him represents how the outer world reflects the inner shift, and the withdrawal into the wilderness to pray is the conscious rest in stillness where a new vibration can be felt and held. The point is: healing is a re-identification with the I AM, a revision of the story from sickness to cleanliness, from fear to trust, from isolation to communion.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume I AM as the healing presence and feel yourself already clean. Carry that feeling into the next breath and watch the outer scene reflect your inner cleanliness.
