Luke 3:16

Biblical Context

Luke 3:16 contrasts outward water baptism with an inward baptism of Spirit and fire. It invites an inner awakening—true cleansing comes from within.

Neville's Inner Vision

John speaks of two baptisms, one public and one inward. Water baptizes the outer man, but the mighty one to come baptizes you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. In this sense, every scriptural word is a mirror of your own state; the water is the attention you give to appearances, while Spirit and fire are the inflow of awareness that cleanses, warms, and reveals your true nature. Spirit is the breath of I AM within, and fire is the burning energy that dissolves fear, doubt, and the memory of lack. The 'one mightier' is your higher state of consciousness, the I AM that awakens when you dare to feel yourself as the receiver of grace and sovereignty. The inner baptism is not a distant event but a present shift of state: you are not baptized by another but by your unwavering assumption that you are now immersed in divine life. As you rest in this awareness, you experience a purification that discloses purity, integrity, and salvation as your immediate reality. Grace and favor become your condition, not distant favors to be earned, when you align with the truth of who you are.

Practice This Now

Assume you are now bathed in the Holy Spirit and fire—feel the warmth permeate every thought and dissolve fear. Revise your sense of separation by affirming 'I AM' as your baptismal presence here and now.
