Read Luke 24 in context

Scripture Focus

46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luke 24:46-47

Biblical Context

Luke 24:46-47 presents the Christ-event as inner movements of consciousness—suffering and rising within. It calls you to preach repentance and forgiveness from your inner Jerusalem, outward to all nations.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here, the gospel is a map of your own mind. 'Thus it is written' is not a historical decree but a statement of your I AM, the awareness that you are. The suffering spoken of is the gripping of old limits, the letting go of a fixed self that clings to identity. The rising of the third day is not a rescue from outside; it is the return of life to the center that you are. When you accept that the Christ within must suffer and must rise, you accept the law of inner movement: you feel the old belief shatter, then a stronger sense of self asserts itself. 'Repentance and remission of sins' become inner acts—turning from the memory of limitation and forgiving every self that held it, until you can emit that grace outward, beginning in your inner Jerusalem, your most intimate thoughts and feelings. The mission to all nations arises as a natural outflow once the inner Jerusalem is at peace; your awareness preaches by revelation, not by obligation.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the risen state as your I AM now. Revise one memory of suffering by declaring, 'I forgive this, I am free,' and feel the grace spreading from your inner Jerusalem outward through your life.
