Read Luke 24 in context

Scripture Focus

37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
Luke 24:37-39

Biblical Context

The disciples are terrified and confuse Jesus with a spirit. He questions their fear and invites them to verify him, showing the risen presence is tangible, not ethereal.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this passage the fear of the disciples is not about a ghost; it is the mind's habit of projecting lack and separation. When they cry out that they see a spirit, they reveal a state of consciousness haunted by imagination. Jesus speaks not to a distant deity but to the 'I AM' that each of us is aware of as the present life. 'Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?' is an invitation to observe the workings of your own inner weather. The hands and feet are not a physical demonstration for historical faith; they are the symbol of a living, inner body—your awareness in tuned form, proof that your reality is not mere apparition but substance. If you would have real resurrection, you must recognize that presence is not external to you but the very medium through which you perceive. Trust the inner witness; dwell in the awareness that you are the I AM, and the world you fear will soften as you revise your assumptions and feel the reality of that sense.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state, 'I am with you now.' Feel the tangible presence in your chest or hands until fear dissolves and the inner proof becomes real.
