Luke 24:36-38

Biblical Context

Jesus appears in the midst and declares peace. The disciples tremble, thinking they see a spirit, and He asks why they are troubled and why thoughts arise in their hearts.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through Neville's lens, the scene is not about a man entering a room, but the I AM entering your consciousness. The 'Jesus' who stands in the midst is the living presence of awareness that you are. Peace is not a reward but your own nature revealed. When the disciples cry out in fear, that fear is a belief in separation—the old thought-form that you are separate from your source. The question, 'Why are ye troubled?' translates to: Why are you lingering in a dream of lack when the light of your I AM is already awake? Your thoughts arise in the heart as claims of trouble, but you can revise them by affirming, I am the peace that I seek; I am the present awareness in which all appearances appear. As you dwell in that consciousness, the outer scene dissolves into quiet. The 'midst' is simply your inner center where truth and faithfulness reside; you are not a troubled body but the awareness that guides it.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the state of I AM peace, and imagine the Presence standing in the center of your mind saying, 'Peace be unto you.' When fear rises, revise it with, I am the peace that I seek, and feel this awareness settling in.
