Read Luke 24 in context

Scripture Focus

32And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Luke 24:32

Biblical Context

Two travelers on the road discuss scripture. As the truth is opened to them, their hearts burn, signaling an inner awakening.

Neville's Inner Vision

Whenever you hear the words open to us the scriptures, know this is your inner mind asking to be opened to its own meaning. The heart that burns is a sign that your state of consciousness has shifted from doubt to recognition. The figure of Jesus who spoke by the road is your higher self, the I AM present as the living Word within; as you converse with this inner teacher, the scriptures cease to be external history and become your current truth. The road you walk is a state of mind moving toward an awareness that is already complete; the opening of the scriptures is the clearing of mental cobwebs, the moment when your beliefs align with what you already are: the witness to your own divine reality. The warmth in the chest is not emotion but the sensation of alignment between your imagination and its object. When you accept this truth I am the truth you seek, events around you begin to reflect the revelation. Thus the disciples' burning heart becomes your own inner confirmation that you create reality by assumption.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are already guided by inner wisdom. Feel the warmth of revelation as real and let it revise your current limitation.
