Inner Scripture Revealed

Luke 24:27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 24 in context

Scripture Focus

27And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luke 24:27

Biblical Context

Jesus shows that Moses and all the prophets point to him, expounding that the entire scriptures bear witness to the self. In plain terms, the Bible is revealing the inner state of the reader rather than a distant history.

Neville's Inner Vision

Begin at Moses and all the prophets, not as external history but as a method for discovering the self. The one spoken of in every line is not a distant figure, but the I AM within you appearing as your own awareness. When you behold the verses as about Jesus in the flesh, you miss the teaching; when you read them as about you, the inner meaning comes alive. By this reading, the things concerning himself become the revelations of your own state of consciousness—your beliefs, your desires, your guilt or grace, all reflected back to you. The Bible then acts as a record of your inner movements, and the fulfilled prophecy is your present realization. So you do not seek to change the world first; you choose to align your inner weather with the truth you desire, and the outer becomes an expression of that inward alignment. This is the heart of prophecy: you are both the reader and the living text, and your awareness is the constant author and interpreter of your life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the I AM reading the scriptures about you. Revise any lack by affirming I am that I AM fulfilled now, and feel the truth settle into your body.
