Luke 23:34

Biblical Context

Jesus prays for forgiveness for those who crucified him, saying they do not know what they do. The scene notes the soldiers casting lots for his clothing.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the Father is the I AM. The 'they' are stray images of your unrevised states. When you choose forgiveness, you revise the scene with the certainty that your consciousness contains nothing but mercy. The act of saying 'Father, forgive them' is a command to your mind to withdraw condemnation and reframe the event as an inner healing. As you dwell in the I AM, you understand there is no separation; forgiveness dissolves the impression of guilt and casts light on every figure as a facet of your inner life. The cross becomes a symbol of an old story you willingly release, not a fate imposed from outside. With this inner revision, mercy naturally flows into your world, and the seemingly external event—lines drawn, garments parted—becomes a demonstration that your awareness is free to choose grace. The words 'they know not what they do' serve as your cue to return to unity, reminding you that ignorance arises only when you forget who you truly are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, in the I AM, declare: I forgive them. Then revise the scene in your mind so the image of others is met with mercy, and feel the shift in your consciousness as truth.
