Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus is crucified between two criminals at Calvary, and a sign proclaims him king, while the crowd and soldiers mock him. He prays for forgiveness for those who crucified him, saying they know not what they do.
Neville's Inner Vision
See this drama as a mirror of your inner state. The two malefactors are the two voices within you—fear and longing—leading the I AM to the crucifixion of a limited self. Calvary is a threshold in consciousness where you consent to a higher sovereignty. When Jesus says, 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do,' hear it as the mind’s command to forgive its own ignorances, not the people outside you. The crowd’s mockery and the sign 'THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS' symbolize the inner declaration you must make: the king you serve is your own awareness, your I AM, not an external ruler. The soldiers offering vinegar represent sensory temptations of the old self; you stand firm by realizing the king sits within you. Your forgiveness is alignment with the I AM, loosening the grip of the old self and releasing judgments. In that inner crucifixion you awaken to your throne and perceive that the world outside is but an echo of your inner decree.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the scene: assume you are the I AM seated on your inner throne, and softly declare, I am the King now. Feel that royal consciousness rise and forgive the inner voices, letting the old self dissolve into peace.
