Daily Temple Teachings Within

Luke 19:47-48 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 19 in context

Scripture Focus

47And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
Luke 19:47-48

Biblical Context

Jesus taught daily in the temple; the authorities sought to destroy him, but they could not find a way, because the people listened attentively to his teaching.

Neville's Inner Vision

Luke presents the temple as my living consciousness where the word speaks daily. The chief priests, scribes, and rulers are inner states—doubt, fear, habit—seeking to destroy truth I am hearing. Yet they cannot act, for all the people are attentive to hear him within. This is Neville’s psychology in action: when the I AM sits in the inner temple, outer interference loses power. My imagination becomes the temple priest, and the spoken word is the Christ within, speaking now. The so‑called opposition dissolves as I hold steady listening, refusing the pull of contradiction. The practice is inner revision: I assume the desired state as already true, and feel it as real in my chest, right now. When I do, the inner teacher takes the stage and the outer world quietly aligns with the inner truth. The result is a life where hearing is eager, and presence fills the self.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, stand in for the 'I AM' within, and declare, 'I am the temple where the daily teaching speaks.' Then revise the sense of opposition as non-existent and feel the inner voice speaking now.
