Inner Climb Toward Seeing Christ

Luke 19:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 19 in context

Scripture Focus

3And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
Luke 19:3-4

Biblical Context

A man seeks Jesus but cannot be seen by the crowd; rising above circumstance, he climbs to gain a view, embodying faithful initiative.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice how the story speaks not of geography but economy of the heart. The press is the outer clamor of fear and limitation; the man’s little stature is the belief I am not tall enough in consciousness. The sycamore tree is the method by which inner vision is elevated, a voluntary ascent in imagination. Jesus passing by is the moment consciousness turns toward the I AM within, the Christ that has always been near. When he runs ahead and climbs, he does not beg; he assumes the vantage point of complete inner authority. In your own life, any barrier you call impossible is simply a signal to move into a higher state of consciousness. To see Jesus is to see the truth of your own divine I AM; you do not need to become someone else, only to ascend in awareness and trust the presence that already loves and accepts. The key is humility without groveling; meekness that yields to the divine flow and perseveres until the barrier is dissolved by the inner realization that God is near.

Practice This Now

Assume you are the seeker in spirit; picture yourself ascending your inner sycamore tree until you stand in sight of the Christ within. Then feel the I AM near and affirm I am seen by God.
