Biblical Context
Luke 17:34-36 speaks of two people in bed, two grinding, and two in the field. The one taken and the other left reveal a division of inner states rather than external events.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Luke's telling, the night and the paired figures are not about people but about your inner positions. 'Taken' is the movement of consciousness toward a state of awareness, a vitality that carries you into a broader sense of Self, while 'left' is what remains in separation, in the old identification. The repeated phrase 'in that night' points to a moment when you realize you are the I AM, the witness who chooses where attention travels. When you inhabit the inner bed, the work is not about who sits next to you but which state you inhabit—one that is awake to the kingdom within or one that clings to the old dream. The kingdom of God, Jesus shows, is not a distant place but the living awareness you cultivate. So, when you revise a scene in imagination to align with the felt experience of being already united with your true nature, you are choosing the 'taken' state, and the world follows your inner movement.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the role of the taken one for a minute—feel yourself carried into the kingdom within. Then revise a current scene by telling yourself, I am already here, the I AM awakened.
