Gratitude's Return: Inner Healing

Luke 17:15-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 17 in context

Scripture Focus

15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Luke 17:15-19

Biblical Context

Ten were healed; one, a Samaritan, returned to thank God. Jesus says his faith has made him whole.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold Luke 17:15-19 as a living scripture of consciousness. The outward cleansing is only symbol; wholeness flows from the inner recognition that God is I AM here and now. The ten who were cleansed represent states of cleanliness in form, while the Samaritan’s return signals a turning of attention back to awareness itself. When you thank God—acknowledge the I AM as present—you reverse the inner state from lack to fullness. Your faith is not a plea to an external power but the affirming of the truth that you are already whole in consciousness. The healing is the restoration of your state, the revival of remembrance that God is your ever-present reality. Thus, the miracle is your own inner decision to honor God within, and the body's renewal follows as a natural outflow of that recognition. Thy faith hath made thee whole.

Practice This Now

In a quiet moment, imagine you are the healed one who returns in gratitude. Quietly affirm, 'I AM; gratitude now makes me whole,' and feel the state as already real.
