Found Coin Within, Rejoicing Now

Luke 15:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 15 in context

Scripture Focus

8Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Luke 15:8-9

Biblical Context

In Luke 15:8-9, a woman with ten coins loses one, lights a lamp, searches the house until she finds it, and then invites others to rejoice with her.

Neville's Inner Vision

Luke 15:8-9 invites you to read the coin as a state of consciousness, not a purse. A woman with ten pieces loses one; the 'missing' piece represents a belief in separation from your wholeness. The candle she lights is the dawning awareness that you are IT— that I AM here, now. The sweeping of the house is a discipline of attention, a revision of feeling until attention reveals the hidden piece. I search within until the sense of lack is dissolved and the piece reappears as the unmistakable presence of God in me. When found, she calls her friends and neighbors to rejoice, and so do I, for the discovery is not merely personal but the returning light of God in my entire life. This is the practice: assume that you already possess all the pieces; feel the joy of reintegration; celebrate inwardly as you would in the street, knowing the whole is present in every moment. The pattern remains: seek the truth within, find it in consciousness, rejoice in the realized Presence.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine you are the woman; light a candle of awareness, sweep through your mental room until you find the missing coin, then declare, 'I have found the piece; I am complete.'
