21And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Luke 15:20-21

Biblical Context

In Luke 15:20-21, a prodigal son returns to his father; the father sees him from afar, runs to embrace him, and forgives, restoring their relationship.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you the prodigal is any belief in separation, guilt, or lack. The Father is your I AM—the eternal, inner Consciousness that never quits you but recognizes you as child of the One. When you decide to return in thought and resolve to arise and go to your Father, you feel the distance as the great way off in your mind. Yet your inner Father does not condemn; he looks, he notices, and he moves with compassionate recognition, even before you finish your confession. The running and the kiss symbolize the surge of awareness that restores your identity: the old self-distrust dissolves in the warm gift of acceptance. Reconciliation arises as you drop the tale of sin and yield to the truth that you are always loved, already home in the one Life. The moment you adopt this state, you have not merely improved yourself, you have revived your true sonship in God.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the Father running to you; assume the posture of welcome and revise your sense of unworthiness into belonging. Then feel the embrace and live from the I AM as your true sonship.
