Humility Elevates the Self

Luke 14:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 14 in context

Scripture Focus

11For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 14:11

Biblical Context

The verse declares that self-exaltation leads to abasement, while humility invites exaltation. It speaks of inner posture rather than outward display.

Neville's Inner Vision

Luke 14:11 speaks to the inner kingdom, not a social ladder. If you exalt yourself in imagination, you plant a separate center within which life must humble to correct. You become abased by clinging to a sense of self that floats above others. When you humble yourself, you descend into the I AM that you are, and the I AM exalts you from within. Exaltation is not attainment by vanity; it is a natural answer when your awareness rests in the truth of your wholeness. See that the self you seek to exalt already exists as a thought in God; the moment you stop acting from ego and begin acting from I AM, your world rearranges to reflect that truth. Practice is the key: assume you are already exalted because you are humble, feel that exaltation as your present fact, and let the external scene catch up.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and feel the truth: I am exalted now because I am humble. Rest in that I AM-state for a few minutes, revise any hint of pride, and let the world reflect your inner alignment.
