Sabbath Healing Beyond Law
Luke 14:1-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus heals a man during a sabbath gathering, while the scribes watch closely. The point is that mercy can override a strict reading of the law.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the I AM lens, the sabbath is not a day but a state of perfected stillness in consciousness. The man with dropsy represents a swelling of limitation in your mind—an idea about yourself that keeps you unbalanced. The Pharisees are the voices of outer rule—your habit of measuring yourself and others by appearances. When Jesus asks, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? He invites you to question your own unwillingness to restore balance in consciousness, not to break a decree. Healing then is not an act in time but a revision of the inner state. By refraining from defending the old law with talk, you make space for the new result: the 'ass or ox' pulled from the pit is your old beliefs about lack being kept alive by fear. The inner miracle occurs when you answer with quiet inner agreement that healing is your natural state here and now. The entire scene is a dramatization of your own capacity to translate law into compassion through awakened awareness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume, 'I am healed now,' and feel the limitation release. Hold that feeling for a minute, resting in your I AM.
