From Exaltation to Humility Within

Luke 10:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 10 in context

Scripture Focus

15And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.
Luke 10:15

Biblical Context

Capernaum, exalted to heaven, will be humbled; pride in status invites a fall. The verse frames judgment as a consequence of spiritual arrogance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Luke 10:15 pleads with the soul: the mind that has raised itself on the staircase of exaltation and looked down on others will, by its own design, be moved from heaven to a quiet hell of separation. In this inner drama, Capernaum stands for a consciousness convinced of its own height, a self image that feels lifted as if by outer circumstance. Yet the truth Neville teaches is that all exalts within the I AM are but imaginations of separation. When you insist that you are above, you imprison yourself in a realm of fear, pride, and subtle judgment; the fall is not punishment but a natural correction: a return to alignment with the one life within. The moment you decide to inhabit the kingly state as an inward recognition I AM awareness, not a status to be earned the exalted position dissolves into humility and receptivity. Judgment ceases when you change the story from I am above to I AM one with God, here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the inner city of your mind as a place that can rise or fall by your inner stance. When you notice exaltation, revise by affirming I AM awareness and choosing humility, feeling it real as you shift from separation to unity with God.
