Luke 1:39-45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Mary rises to visit Elizabeth, and Elizabeth, moved by the greeting, is filled with the Holy Spirit. She proclaims Mary blessed and confirms that the promised child will come to those who believe.
Neville's Inner Vision
Mary's rising in those days is the inner ascent of consciousness toward the hill country of quiet perception. When she enters the house of Zacharias and salutes Elisabeth, she enacts a shift of state: the I AM aware of itself in intimate expectation. Elisabeth's hearing, the babe leaping in the womb, and the Holy Ghost filling her, symbolize the inner quickening that happens when belief and receptivity meet. The blessing spoken over Mary is the inner confirmation that a promise has found a home within; and 'blessed is she that believed' proclaims that faith is the assumption that makes the imagined state real. There follows the operating law: there shall be a performance of those things told from the Lord. In your practice, treat any desired reality as already present, greet it with a salutary inner welcome, and dwell in the feeling that it is yours now. The inner world responds with joyful manifestation when you persist in the truth you already know.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Rise in consciousness to your inner hill country, greet your inner Elizabeth, and feel the Holy Ghost quicken within; declare, 'It is done, the promise is performed,' until it feels real.
