Leviticus 9:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 9 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Aaron offers the sin offering for himself; the blood is applied to the horns of the altar and poured out, while the fat and kidneys are burned on the altar as commanded.
Neville's Inner Vision
Leviticus 9:8-10 becomes a map of the inner ritual you perform in imagination. The calf of the sin offering for himself represents the old self you consent to release; in your state of I AM, you are not fighting the old, you are simply stepping into the new imagery, letting it pass. The blood on the horns of the altar is your focused awareness pressed into the altar of your consciousness, and poured out at its base, it is the life-force that you withdraw from outdated beliefs. The fat, kidneys, and caul burned upon the altar are the refinements of your inner appetite—what you once valued as the source of life but now must be offered to transformation. This is the inner worship: a conscious revision that you are already purified, and the image of guilt is consumed by your higher awareness. The LORD commanded Moses expresses the Law inhabiting your inner world; obey it now by feeling, imagining, and dwelling in a state of holiness, and watch as the outer form follows the inner reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of I AM as your real self. In inner imagery, place the old self on the altar as the calf, touch the horns with your attention, pour out the old belief at the base, and declare, 'I am purified now.'
