4Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
5And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.
6And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.
7And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

Biblical Context

Leviticus 9:2-7 shows Aaron and Israel bringing offerings and Moses commanding that the LORD will appear. Aaron is to make atonement for himself and the people before the glory is revealed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture this scene as your inner state rather than a biblical history. Aaron stands for your current awareness, invited to offer the calf and ram of personal commitment and the goats and cattle of daily behavior that no longer serves you. The sin offerings symbolize releasing guilt-bound thoughts; the burnt offerings signify consecration, a total dedicating of all your faculties to the I AM. The peace offerings and the meat offering mingled with oil illustrate your appetites and faculties brought into harmonious order with divine law. When the people draw near and the LORD is to appear, it is your mind drawing near to its source, preparing for an inner visitation. Moses functions as the inner voice that voices the commands of your new state of consciousness; the atonement for self and people is the revision of memory and belief to align with the I AM now. The appearing glory is the awakening of awareness to your true nature, the realization that you are not separate from God but the I AM itself.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, declare 'I am the I AM,' and imagine placing a limiting belief on an inner altar; revise it into a truth about your divine nature and feel the Presence expanding.
