Biblical Context
A portion of the whole oblation is designated as a heave offering for the LORD, and the priest administers the blood of the peace offerings.
Neville's Inner Vision
Suppose I am the I AM, the living awareness that makes and moves all I encounter. In Leviticus 7:14, the 'heave offering' is not a distant ritual but a deliberate act of consciousness set apart for worship within. The 'whole oblation' becomes a field in which I choose one portion to lift up to the LORD of my being. The priest who sprinkles the blood is the inner function of my higher self—my discerner applying purification to thought and feeling. The blood stands for cleansing—releasing fear, guilt, and blockage from my mind. This act designates loyalty to the divine order within, separating the sacred from the profane in my awareness. By designating a part of myself for this heave offering, I train my mind to worship through sustained attention and pure intention. The inner priest attends, and the peace offerings become a state I inhabit, not merely an action I perform.
Practice This Now
Practice: in a quiet moment, designate a portion of your inner oblation as the heave offering and see the priest within you sprinkling cleansing light on anxious thoughts. Feel it real by affirming, I am the LORD's peace.
