Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Leviticus 6:6-13 presents a trespass offering and a burning offering, worked through by the priestly rite to bring forgiveness and ongoing worship. The fire on the altar is kept alight, and ashes are removed, symbolizing cleansing and continuous devotion.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let the scene be taken inward. The trespass offering points to a fault you have recognized in your thoughts; bringing it to the LORD is the turning of your attention toward the I AM that you are. The ram without blemish represents your true, unaltered nature when seen through the standard of consciousness you actually hold; you are pure awareness. The priest's act of atonement mirrors your ability to revise the scene in your own mind, declaring forgiveness as a finish, not a future event. The burnt offering that burns all night and into the morning is the steadfast flame of attention, the altar in your mind kept alive by your ongoing assumption. The ashes set aside are the old images dissolved, the space made ready for a new worship. When you live as the I AM, imagination becomes real: you do not seek forgiveness, you inhabit the state of forgiveness already. And the fire that never goes out becomes your daily proof of a consciousness that remains awake, entire, and free.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, picture your inner temple; place the ram of your spotless self on the altar, and declare I AM forgiven; then feel the steady fire of awareness burn and revise any sense of guilt until it feels true.
