Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God speaks directly to Moses, inviting revelation and instruction. The moment signals divine communication is possible for the inner self when one is attentive.
Neville's Inner Vision
When you read 'the LORD spake unto Moses,' recognize that this is your own I AM addressing itself. Moses stands as the disciplined mind ready to hear; the voice is the arising of awareness that occurs when you still the chatter and choose to listen. This is not an external event, but a shift of state: the inner Word becomes active when you presume the presence of God as I AM and align your feelings, beliefs, and choices with that presence. To receive the directive, you must assume a state of receptive loyalty—to truth, to covenant with life, and to the Word within. Obedience here is imaginative, not ceremonial: you revise any sense of separation and let the inner Word govern your thoughts and actions. As you persist, the outer world becomes a reflection of that inward commissioning—guidance and purpose replace confusion as you walk in fidelity to the present Word. This is the nature of divine communication: a living Presence within, inviting you to act from it, not for it.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in stillness and assume you are Moses listening for the inner Word. Feel the presence of God as I AM and affirm, 'I am spoken to by the LORD within me; I listen and obey.'
