Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A blemish-free female lamb is offered as a sin offering; the worshiper lays hands on it, slaughters it, and the priest makes atonement, after which forgiveness is granted.
Neville's Inner Vision
Leviticus 4:32-35 speaks in the language of sacrifice, but you know the language of consciousness: the I AM within. The female lamb without blemish becomes the image of your pure, undisturbed awareness you offer to your own inner law. The laying of the hand is your deliberate attention placed on that image, a moment of identification with the end you seek. Slaying it in the place of burnt offerings is the release of the old identification with guilt; the blood on the horns of the altar is the charging of your altar-state with that truth; the fat burned represents burnt away attachment to the old story. The priest—the inner I AM—applies the energy and declares the atonement: forgiveness is granted when the ritual of inner acknowledgment is completed. In your imagination, you perform this not for a ritual's sake but for the renewal of your consciousness. The movement from the old to the new state is your spiritual realignment; forgiveness is not a distant event but your present state of being.
Practice This Now
Set your hand on your chest and assume the end: I am forgiven, I am at peace. Feel the reality flood your awareness until the old guilt dissolves.
