Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
When the whole congregation sins in ignorance and the fault is revealed, they bring a bullock and the elders lay hands on its head. The priest sprinkles blood and, by making atonement, the people are forgiven.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville's ear, the Law is not about animals but about your inner state. The 'congregation' is the sum of your beliefs; 'ignorance' is a failing of alignment with the I AM. When the error is known, you bring the bullock—a symbol of your old thought-form—into the sanctuary of awareness. The elders place hands upon its head, signifying your willingness to name the old self as the object of your power. The priest sprinkles its blood seven times before the LORD, a symbol of saturating perception with the truth of I AM. The blood on the horns and at the altar's base infuses life into the altar of your consciousness, while burning the fat releases ego attachments. The atonement is your forgiveness; the old belief is carried away outside the camp—separated from your present I AM. In grace, you awaken to I AM as your permanent state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the elder's posture, lay hands on the bullock of your old belief, feel the guilt drain away as you sprinkle seven breaths of awareness; then declare, I AM forgiven now.
