Peace Within the Sacrifice
Leviticus 4:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes removing fat from a peace-offering and burning it on the altar, symbolizing the consecration of the best of life to God and the path to true worship.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the peace offering becomes a doorway into your own consciousness. The 'bullock' represents your living self; the 'fats' are the clingings of ego—the attachments you defend, the outcomes you demand, the self-importance you squeeze into every scene. By taking the fats off and placing them on the altar of your awareness, you invite the fire of I AM to purify them. In that fire, separation dissolves and the bloodstream of life returns to quiet harmony; this is true worship, not ritual spectacle. As you practice, you awaken to the truth that imagination creates reality: when you feel the fats burn away, you are left with a clean, fearless sense of being. The law of peace—shalom—manifests as you align your inner state with the truth that you are the I AM, and all events reflect that status. Therefore, the act is inward: a voluntary surrender of your energy to the altar, the very place where inner life is transformed into outward peace.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and mentally remove the fats—the attachments to outcomes—from your life, and lay them on the altar of awareness. Feel the altar-fire of I AM burn them away; affirm, 'I am at peace,' and let the sense of wholeness rise within you.
