Biblical Context
Leviticus 26:44-45 promises that God will not cast off His people in exile, and that He remembers the covenant for their sakes so He may remain their God. The passage asserts divine faithfulness even under outward distress.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ever notice how the text speaks of being in the land of their enemies and yet not being cast off? In Neville's language, the 'people' are not a people but a state of consciousness. When you feel surrounded by failure, limitation, or outer threats, you are simply experiencing a movement in your own inner awareness. The 'covenant' is the steadfast agreement between your I AM and your life—truth that you are always preserved, never rejected by the Source you are. 'I am the LORD their God' becomes not external decree but the recognition that you are the I AM witnessing through form. The Creator does not abandon you; rather, you awaken to the memory of your true self, just as the covenant reminds the people of their origin from Egypt—their undeniable origin in God. This is Providence: even in apparent exile, the divine presence remains, shaping events as the return of consciousness to its rightful state. Thus the seeming hardship is only a drama to be revised by your inner conviction. The moment you accept that you are already remembered and governed by your own God within, you live as if the covenant is kept.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise your sense of self until you feel the covenant state as your present reality. Imagine yourself as the I AM, already kept, remembered, and in rightful unity with life.
