Inner Covenant Sword Reality
Leviticus 26:25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 26 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes divine correction: a sword, pestilence, and deliverance into enemy hands as consequences of covenant quarrel.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this reading, the 'sword' is the swift cut of awareness that separates the old self from your living now. The 'quarrel of my covenant' becomes the inner dispute between a sense of separation and the I AM you truly are. The pestilence is not external plague but the fever of fear that arises in your imagination when you forget you are consciousness and not circumstance. When you are 'gathered together within your cities', you are leaning on habitual self-images—the fixed stories you tell about yourself—and you invite disruption because you have forgotten your unity with God. The invitation of the verse is to reverse the scene: the covenant is already fulfilled in you as the I AM; the 'enemy' is the old belief that you are separate from divine reality. By assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled and living from that unity, you disarm the sword, let the pestilence fade into stillness, and watch the enemy dissolve into nothing. Your life becomes the natural expression of awakened consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the I AM; I and the I AM are one.' Then imagine the sword as a cutting away of doubt and the pestilence as fear dissolving into brightness; affirm that you are already delivered by your own consciousness and walk free in harmony with God.
