Sacred State of Holiness Within
Leviticus 22:2-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 22 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage instructs Aaron and his sons to keep the holy things free from uncleanness, refrain from eating them when unclean, and honor God's name by maintaining ritual purity.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine that the 'holy things' are the inner possessions you choose to keep sacred in your mind. In this passage of purification, your state of awareness must not touch or be touched by what is unclean in your world; cleanliness is a discipline of consciousness, not mere ritual. When you feel unclean—by fear, doubt, or anger—recognize it as a temporary condition that can be washed away by the light of attention and the belief in your I AM. The sun setting represents the daily return to stillness; after the day ends, you may eat the holy things again because you are no longer identified with the unclean belief. The decree I am the LORD is your awareness naming you as the source and boundary of what enters your sacred states. Keep divine ordinances within you so you do not bear sin by dwelling in carelessness; sanctify yourself by choosing purity as your constant posture of being.
Practice This Now
Assume the state 'I am clean and sacred' and feel it real now; imagine washing away every trace of uncleanness with living water, then rest in the sunset of awareness, feeding on the holy food of your mind.
