Inner Blemish, Outer Barrier
Leviticus 21:18-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 21 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage forbids approaching the sacred space for those with blemishes, listing several physical conditions as disqualifications. It frames purity as a barrier for ritual access.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the I AM, the so-called blemishes are not defects in God’s creation but states of consciousness that you have accepted as real. The list in Leviticus marks a boundary your mind has drawn between what is sacred and what you call unfit; yet God is the I AM within, not the body’s conditions. When you imagine yourself as the unblemished presence, you emit a new inner vibration that dissolves the supposed barrier. The feeling of 'cannot approach' becomes 'I am always present; I am the I AM of this moment.' The body may reflect your past assumptions, but the true temple is your awareness, and that awareness is pure. The law here becomes a mirror for inner revision: observe the belief in separation, then replace it with the certainty that you are complete in God now. Do not seek to change outer form; align your inner state with the truth of Presence, and the outer scene will shift accordingly. By choosing the state of wholeness, you pass beyond the old gate and stand inside, where you and God are one.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Tonight, close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the unblemished presence now.' Revise any belief of defect to the truth of wholeness, and feel it real in your chest as Presence.
