Within your consciousness, you are the high priest; the crown of the anointing oil rests on your head as the symbol of I AM awareness poured to consecrate your being. The prohibitions against uncovering the head, tearing garments, or approaching the dead become inner refusals—movements by which you resist thought forms that dull perception. The dead are memories, fears, and habits that would profane the sanctuary of God within; you do not abandon the temple, you guard it with unwavering attention to your present awareness. The sanctuary itself—your interior state of being—must remain undefiled; the oil upon you is not external ceremony but the vivid recognition that you are the living temple. When you assume this, every action you take is performed with sanctity, every feeling is examined and consecrated, and your presence becomes your offering to God. The I AM LORD within is the constant assurance that your inner authority sustains you, not external rites. Practice maintaining this posture long enough for the feeling of being sanctified to permeate your day.
