Leviticus 21:10

Biblical Context

The verse describes the high priest, anointed and clothed for sacred service, who must keep his head covered and not tear his garments.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you stands the high priest of your being—the I AM in conscious form—anointed by awareness and clothed in holy thoughts. The anointing on his head denotes the ruling idea that you declare as true, the crown of consciousness that governs all movement of mind. The garments symbolize your sacred habits of thought and life that belong to holiness. To uncover his head or rend his clothes is to entertain fear or doubt and to expose the inner sanctuary to outside noise. The command is not withdrawal but fidelity: keep the head covered in reverence, keep the robe intact by steady, loyal imagining. When you dwell in the assumption that you are already crowned and consecrated, the outer circumstances rearrange themselves to fit that inner state. Your awareness is the covenant; your feelings seal the promise. You are not begging for change but embodying it, and reality follows the assumption you hold in your own I AM.

Practice This Now

Practice: For five quiet minutes, assume you are the inner high priest—see the oil on your head, wear the garments of holiness, and feel the reality of this state as your own. Carry that crown of awareness into daily moments and let it inform every judgment and action.
