I AM Inner Alignment
Leviticus 19:31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Do not seek familiar spirits or wizards; such practices defile you. Your true guide is the LORD, the I AM within you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Leviticus 19:31 speaks not of old rituals, but of your inner environment. The ‘familiar spirits’ and the ‘wizards’ are not rivals outside you; they are the habit of seeking power in forms other than your own I AM awareness. When you entertain them, you concede a belief in separation between your consciousness and the one God with whom you are one. The command to regard them not is a command to refuse any suggestion that you are ruled by uncanny forces or clever thoughts that pretend to be stronger than your own inner light. In Neville's terms, you are always where your attention resides; to turn away from these inner wizards is to return your attention to the one reality: I AM. Holiness is simply the constant assumption that the world you experience is the outward sign of your inner state; obedience is the stable, grateful acknowledgment of the I AM as your source. Therefore, defilement is not a punishment but a signal that you have allowed a lesser power to speak in your mind.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of I AM here and now, as the sole power you acknowledge. When stray thoughts of power or glamour arise, gently revise them by returning your attention to I AM.
